Rules of Use
Thanks for choosing i Forgot Trash Day! We are committed to doing business the right way. That means looking after you, the person who is trusting us with service. It also means looking out for the folks doing the work, the rest of our community and the environment. In order to do that, we have some simple rules that keep everyone safe and sanitary.
The Law about Trash
Applicable Federal, State and Local laws require that you (the waste generator) dispose of your waste materials appropriately, and you will remain responsible for these materials if they are not disposed of properly. Municipal Solid Waste Landfills, such as Rumpke’s are not permitted to accept and dispose of certain types of materials, including hazardous wastes.

Bagging and Placement

All trash must be bagged, all bags in a bin. If your bin is partially unbagged, your hauler will not pick up the loose items in the bin. This is for highway safety

You can add on an unbagged trash option where your service provider will help bag within reasonable effort. Keyword is reasonable.

Bins must placed for pickup in a public place or easement. This typically means within 5 feet of a public road

If your hauler needs a gate code or similar to access the bins, please provide in the private note section

Drivers cannot enter your home for any reason
Items Not Allowed
The following items are currently not eligible for pickup.

Fuels

Oils
-
Liquid Paint

Hazardous wastes

Heavy and oversized construction materials

Obsolete household chemicals, products
-
Carcasses (such as roadkill and hunting remains)

Car Batteries (cannot be accepted with fuel pickup)

Electronics such as computers, TVs

Gasoline, fuel (5 gallon limit per fuel pickup due to risk)

Motor oil, cooking oil
-
Empty containers, drums, tanks
-
Empty aerosol cans
-
Liquids (see below for specialty liquids such as oil, paint, gas)

Corrosive, flammabile, reactive, explosive, toxic or otherwise

Lead acid batteries

Whole tires
-
Medical/infectious/biohazard waste

Any listed wastes in Title 40 CFR part 261

PCB waste

Appliances which use refrigerant

Pesticides, herbicides and fertilizers

Engagement with Hauler
Customers are not permitted to physically assist or interfere with the hauler's loading process. Customers may not enter the hauler's vehicle in any way. This is for everyone's safety. For time sensitive communication with the hauler, please use the chat function connected to your active order.
Payment Policy
Payment must be made in full at the time the order is placed.
You may cancel your order for a full refund at any until the hauler has arrived and begun loading your waste into their vehicle. Once loading has begun, all orders are final. In the event that your order is not claimed or cancelled within 48 hours of the expected pickup time, we will refund the full amount.
In the event that restricted or unmanageable materials are set out for pickup, your order may not be fulfilled. Please keep in mind that once a hauler has started handling it, work has begun and no refunds will be issued.
