THE iFTD PROCESS

 
  • YOU REQUEST PICKUP: Households use the iForgotTrashDay app to signal when they need trash removed and how many bins.
  • A NEARBY HAULER CLAIMS IT: Haulers within one mile can claim the pickup, picking up from a few houses nearby to fill the truckbed. 
  • PICKUP COMPLETE: Haulers empty bins into their truck bed, protected by eco-friendly bins and sanitary liners then sends a you a notification when complete.
  • SAFE NO-CONTACT PAYMENT: once pickup is complete, you will receive a charge for the agreed on amount and the hauler is issued a landfill voucher. tips are optional and 100% goes to the hauler who helped.
  • DISPOSAL: Haulers take their pickup load to the local landfill using corporate vouchers. Money all changes hands between enterprises rather than haulers,  helping ensure safe and legal disposal as well as reducing the burden of handling money.
  • HAULER PAYOUT: Once voucher is redeemed, the landfill automatically sends a signal to iForgotTrashDay that the waste was disposed of at the correct location. This releases payment to the hauler who heads back out for another trip around the neighborhood!
